Royal System Wall Unit in Palisander by Poul Cadovius
The Royal System wall unit Poul Cadovius designed for his Royal Systems, Inc. in 1948 won the gold medal at the Finland Furniture Fair in 1950 and silver medal at the XI Triennale di Milano in 1957. It remains a timeless classic. This rare example in palisander (a little less red and figured than rosewood) features a four-drawer unit, a sliding door unit in wood, two units with sliding glass doors and shelves, and three units with hinged glass doors and shelves. There are also two shelves. All units and shelves are adjustable and can be positioned in a variety of configurations.
Unlike freestanding wall units, this system can accommodate a very large flat panel television.
We have another matching unit with sliding glass doors and shelves, identical to the two in photos 1, 7, and 8, available for an additional charge. Just ask.
This system is currently disassembled and in storage. As a result, we could not photograph everything. We have included some stock images to show the style and scale, but the grain pattern may be slightly different.
